Mozambique's Lagoon Coast in reality stretches from Ponta do Ouro in the south for 500 kms to Inharrime in the north.
There are coastal lakes strung like pearls along the coast some open to the sea and others not.

For the sake of user friendliness and ease of reference we are going to consider the area just north of Maputo from
Ponta Macaneta to Ponta Zavora as the Lagoon Coast.
