- A central bathroom facility is available for all the guests in the tents without the en-suite facilities.

DAY AT THE BEACH
A day at the beach with friends and family is the most popular activity at Calanga.
Clear water and beautiful white sand makes this beach a lovely relaxing place to go to.
The kids can play in the surf or play games while dad tries to catch supper and mom just works on her tan

Various day excursions are on offer for visitors who made arrangements prior to their arrival at Calanga Beach Resort.

FISHING
Surf fishing is consistent year round, with Calanga being one of the top surfcasting destinations in Mozambique.
Deep sea fishing

- Calanga Beach Resort is situated approximately 200 km’s from the Mozambican Border at Komatipoort.
- At Komatipoort +/- 2 km’s before the border at the Engen garage, our last stop for shopping in the R.S.A, you can exchange money and the rate is arount 3 Mets for R1. You can also buy your 3 rd Party Insurance from Hollard which then will also assist you across the border
- Please be aware of people trying to assist you with paperwork. We can provide contact details for trustworthy people.
- Please do not buy any wild-life products next to the road because the protection and conservation of the fauna and flora is our priotity.
- At the border a fee for your vehicle of 25 Mets (+/- R 10) must be paid together with 50 Mets (+/- R 17) for every passport.
- Third Party Insurance for every vehicle of R 150-00 and an additional R 80-00 per trailer must also be paid.
- From the border follow the EN 1 toll road to Maputo, with a toll fee of 95 Mets (+/- R 30) and for approximately 80 km’s – travel to the main crossing at Matola (New Shop-Rite shopping centre on the left before the crossing).
- Turn left to Maputo at the crossing and follow the toll road for +/- 10 km to the EN 1 left turn-off road to Xai-Xai, passing the Maputo toll gate with a toll fee of 17.5 Mets (+/- R 5)
- . Turn left to Xai-Xai and follow the EN 1 for approximately 80 km’s to the Maragra turn-off on the right, passing various small towns.
- The Maragra turn-off is situated +/- 5 km’s before a small town called Manhica and last minute shopping can be an option.
- Turn right to Maragra’s main gate for approximately 5 km’s, where you will meet your escort to the Resort.
- From the Maragra gate follow a 2 x 4 road for +/- 15 km’s and at the left turn-off to Calanga you must engage your 4 x 4 and deflate the tyres to +/- 1.2 bar for the last 10 km’s to the Lodge.
- A Compressor to inflate your tyres is available at the Lodge.
