WELCOME TO NUM - NUM LODGE

The building is under construction and will be completed and ready for occupancy on 16-Dec-2011.

THE ESTATE

Guests can enjoy walking anywhere on the estate but are advised to keep to the sand roads. On walks there is always the opportunity to spot game and the birding can be very rewarding. The property comprises sand forest, grasslands and wetlands and over 130 bird species have been identified in the last year and doubtless the list will grow as more bird watchers visit the estate.

ACTIVITIES AT NUM NUM LODGE

Beach activities

Malongane Dive Centre Beach at Malongane Bay at Ponta do Ouro Beach at Ponta do Oura.

Diving

There are dive centres at both Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane. The diving in the area is superb.

There are also good opportunities for snorkelling and spear fishing.

Deep sea and game fishing

The fishing is also superb. There are launch sites at both Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane.

Dolphin, whale and whale shark viewing

This is a very good stretch of coastline for viewing dolphins, hump back whales and whale sharks.

Turtle and hatchling tours

These can be arranged out of Ponta do Ouro at the right times of the year.

Pubs and restaurants

There are excellent restaurants in Ponta do Ouro and plenty of bush pubs (some also selling food) in both Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane.

The vibe is always good with that laid back atmosphere so typical of Mozambique.

Rates

The rental of the lodge is R1,500 per day or R9,800 per week. Reduced mid-week rates are also available out of season.

A maximum of four adults can be accommodated.
