Family owned and operated lodge situated in between Inhambane and Vilanculos:


SELF CATERING CHALETS:

  • Seven 5- sleeper chalets consisting of one double bedroom and 3 open plan singles; one 6-sleeper with two bedrooms and two open plan singles.
  • Fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, utensils, bedding, towels etc
  • Fridge and two plate gas stove (gas provided)
  • Mosquito nets provided
  • Chalets serviced daily
  • Own bathroom with hot water

 

ACTIVITIES and AMENITIES:

  • Surf, rock and estuary fishing
  • Estuary launch for off-shore boats
  • Horse riding, quad bike trails, scuba diving all available at neighbouring lodge
  • Unspoiled beaches, sheltered swimming beach for children
  • Bar and Restaurant
  • Two swimming pools
  • Airstrip for private planes

 

RATES:

  • In season: R1250-00 per chalet per day
  • Out of season: R1000-00 per chalet per day
  • Six-sleeper in season: R1500-00 per day
  • Six-sleeper out of season: R1200-00 per day

 

PAYMENT:

  • 50% deposit on booking
  • Remainder payable at the Lodge on arrival
  • No Cheques or Credit Card facilities

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA:

  • Take the N4 - past Witbank, Mbombela(Nelspruit) and all the way to the Komatipoort border.
  • Once through the Ressano Garcia border post, follow the main toll road to Maputo
  • As you enter Maputo proceed through the toll gate and shortly after take a left turn
    onto EN1 to Xai-Xai. This is the main coastal road north.
  • Pass Villages of Maracuene (28km), Manhica (75km), Macia (143km) and Chissano
    to the town of Xai-Xai 204km North of Maputo, this is a good place to re-fuel.
  • Continue on the North Coastal Road passing smaller villages and towns,
    including Chidenguele (262km), Quissico (392km) and Inharrime (372km).
  • From Inharrime continue for approximately 45km passing Cumbano which has a large
    radio mast on the left side of the road to LINDELA
  • Keep a look out for a sign board on your left saying LINDELA.
  • continue straight up the EN1 past the Lindela turnoff and pass through Maxixe
  • Massinga and continue for approximately10km.
  • Turnoff to Pomene is on right side
  • Dirt road and passes through the town of Rio das Pedros, then through the small village of Teveli
  • Pomene View Lodge is 50km from the main road (EN1).
