The South African Reserve Bank exchange control regulations permit South African residents over 18 years of age an annual allowance
of R 500 000 for foreign exchange purchases which may be utilized in whole or in part of the following:
Travel, Monetary Gifts, Study Payments,
Maintenance Payments and Donations to Missionaries abroad
The South African Reserve Bank Exchange control regulations permit South African residents under 18 years of age an annual allowance
of R 160 000 for foreign exchange purchases which may be used for the purposes of travel abroad only. |
